Full Reset
The first step to resetting your timer is to completely clear all programs. You’ll want to completely reset your timer to factory settings to ensure that all possible issues are wiped clean from the timer’s memory.
1. Take a paperclip and bend it so a point sticking out. Use the point from the paper clip to press in the small button located below the gray OK button on the face of the timer.
2. While holding in the small reset button, simultaneously press and hold down the ON/OFF button. Hold down both buttons together for 5 seconds. After you’ve released both buttons, the screen should flash zeros before displaying the clock flashing 12:00 a.m.
If you fail to press and hold down both buttons, you will not achieve a full program wipe.
Pro Tip: You’ll know whether or not you achieved a full reset when you program the date. If the date is not showing January 1st 2012, you’ll need to try again.
Once you’ve successfully reset your low voltage landscape lighting timer to zero, it’s time to start programming it. There are two parts to setting up your timer. First, you’ll program the time, date, and location. Second, you’ll setup the ON/OFF program to control the lights.
After you’ve cleared out all the old programs, the clock will flash 12:00 a.m. To set the hour, turn the round dial and scroll through until you reach the correct hour. Be mindful of the a.m./p.m in the bottom right corner.
Once you’ve scrolled to the correct hour, push the OK button once to select.
After selecting the hour, the minutes will be flashing. Scroll through the minutes with the dial and select the desired minutes by pushing the OK button once.
After completing the clock, your screen should read 1.1.12.

Now, you’ll need scroll to select approximately where you live in your state. For example, if you live in the central area of your state select CTR; if you live in the North East corner of your state select NE. Once you’ve scrolled to the correct location, press the OK button once.
Your screen will now read TZ CENT. You’ll need to select the time zone you live in. For example, if you live in Utah, you’ll use the dial to scroll to MNTN (Mountain Time). Once you’ve scrolled to the correct time zone for your state, press the OK button once.
Your screen will now read DAWN at the top with a blinking time below. DO NOT adjust the time. Press OK ONCE. Your screen will now read Dusk at the top with a blinking time below. Again, do not adjust the time. Press OK once.
Your initial programming for time, date and location are now complete!
Now that your time, date and location are entered into the timer, you’re now ready to begin programming the ON/OFF times for your lights.
First, consider how you would like your lights to operate. Some people prefer their lights to remain powered on from dusk to dawn, while others prefer dusk to midnight. Its entirely up to you.
Programming your timers On / Off times can be tricky the first time, so go slowly and take your time.
On Time
If you’re looking at your timer’s clock, press the PROG (program) button once. You will now see the number 1 flashing on the display. This indicates event 1. Press the PROG button once to select event 1 for programming.
You will now see SKIP blinking on the screen. Turn the round dial to scroll through until the screen reads DUSK. Be sure that the screen also reads ON in the top left corner. Press the PROG button once.
On the bottom of the display you’ll see the days of the week flashing. Be sure that all days are flashing. If all days of the week are not flashing, carefully scroll through the days until all days are flashing in unison. This will program your on time event to apply to all days of the week. If all days of the week are flashing, press the PROG button once.
Off Time
For this example, we will set the off time for 12:00 a.m.
You will now see the number 2 flashing on the display. Press the PROG button once to begin programming event 2. Scroll through until the display reads 12:00 a.m. with OFF flashing in the upper left corner. Press the PROG button once.
On the bottom of the display you’ll see the days of the week flashing. Like before, select all days of the week when they are flashing by pressing the PROG button once.
Next, select the hour. You can set the off time to whatever time suits your needs best. But for this example, we will set the off time for 12:00 a.m.
When 12 is flashing for the hour, press the PROG button once. When 00 is flashing for the minute, press the PROG button once.
Check all the events to make sure there aren’t any events programmed that shouldn’t be. After completing the previous step, you should see the number 3 flashing on the display. Use the knob to carefully scroll through all programmable events. There are 28 total. If there are no other events programmed, press the OK button once. Your timer is now ready to go.
If there is a rouge event programmed, it will need to be cleared.
To clear an event, first select the event by pressing the PROG button once. Now that you’ve selected the event, carefully scroll through the program options until the display reads – – – -. SKIP will be flashing above the event number. Press the PROG button once. The rouge event has now been removed.
Here are a few helpful tricks to further help you in your timer’s programming.
There are 4 buttons below the display. The MODE button allows you to select between 4 different operating modes: MAN, AUTO, RAND and CLOCK.
Your low voltage landscape lighting timer is now set and ready to go. If you are still struggling to get your timer to work correctly, check the batteries. The batteries can be easily replaced by removing the small panel on the back of the timer in the top right corner.
