Unlike halogen bulbs, LED bulbs do not emit enough heat to melt the snow. This means that in order for the landscape lighting to illuminate your home, you will want to go out and clear the lenses of the fixtures.

But don’t worry, clearing your fixtures is easy!

All you need to do is take a broom and brush the snow off the lens so the light can shine through.

While you are out clearing the snow off the lenses, it might be a good idea to wipe away any debris on the fixture.

Check for exposed wires

When the ground freezes and thaws, buried wires often get pushed to the surface, exposing them to damage.

If you notice any exposed wires in your landscape, it’s important to rebury them before the ground freezes again.

Before doing so, check for any damage to the wire.

If the wire shows signs of damage, it is best to call your landscape lighting professional to make the necessary repairs.

Check for moisture
